i stumbled on this amazing duo recently and am obsessed! i love how they came up with their name and i love every single thing they do. great story, great branding and amazing talent.

a little bit about them:

“Jersey Ice Cream Co was founded in the summer of 2010. Two kids in love found an old embossing stamp at a flea market, dreamed up a design empire, and then set to work trying to create it. Today Tara Mangini and Percy Bright spend their time moving house to house, job to job, leaving beautiful homes in their wake. They believe in craftsmanship, timelessness, and leaving things better than they found them. They do not make ice cream, but will happily have some if you’re offering.”

lexmold molded plastic rocker– theres this really cool old house down the street from us that i’m in love with (i’m dying to go inside because i have a feeling they have it decorated amazing!) and on their front porch they have two hermès orange planters with lettuce planted in them and then off to the side, one of these rockers. i love it! the juxtaposition of the mod and a national register historic house, is just too much for me to handle!

another new series (!)- what you should be buying at _____. i’ll be spotlighting stores that i love and the amazing stuff they have.

first up- furbish studio. jamie meares, of the oh-so popular blog, i suwanee, is such an inspiration and has an amazing eye. such a great mix of home accessories, gifts, even bags and jewelry. i have yet to visit the raleigh brick and mortar but this is a site i check weekly to see what new goodies they have and trust me, they have so much good stuff.

our mini bathroom update (paint and tile) was finished right before thanksgiving and i never shared- sorry about that! although they were just small changes, it really did a lot for the space. ultimately, we’d like to gut/ rearrange it but for now, its good to go! now i’m just looking for small accessories (ie new knobs, some hooks, hand towels) to finish off the look.
