A while ago, I talked about how I’m becoming more aware of what I use in my home. I love trying to use organic in as many places I can without spending a ton of money. Recently, caché district contacted me to review their new premium 100% organic sheets and of course I was super excited about trying them out!
A few things that caché district offers that I love are the fact that they are local (Richmond), they are a family owned company (a husband and wife!) and that their focus is to bring organic, comfy sheets (400 thread count- yes please!) while being very affordable. These sheets are soft (and cute!) enough, that they have quickly become a household favorite.
They just launched their crowdfunding campaign on IndieGoGo. Head on over to help this great company get going. I have a feeling big, exciting things are headed their way!
[Thank you to caché district for partnering on this post. All opinions are my own.]
happy new year! as with so many people i know, myself included, i’m so glad that 2016 is over- yay for 2017! i always treat the new year as a pre spring cleaning- there’s just something about dejunking, purging and starting with a clean slate to head into the year. one of my first projects this year is amping up some of the spots that have been ignored. our house doesn’t have much of an entry so i’ve been scheming a plan to give the illusion of a grander/ more exciting entrance.
which one would you pick?
hi again! i’m not going to sit here and make excuses as to why i haven’t posted since the fourth of july (oops) but lets just say it was a long crazy (but good!) summer trying to keep a busy two year old entertained. but i’d really like to come back and be here more consistently.
anyway, i’ve been wanting to experiment with a statement wallpaper in a small space (one of the bathrooms, the entry, the linen closet, butler’s pantry or even the back of a wardrobe or secretary desk).

i really love terrain but we all know how pricey they can be. for example, this knot weave doormat (so pretty, right?) comes in at $98. i can think of a bunch of other ways i can spend $100. and since i like to have my cake and eat it too (aka get what i want but save $)-here are some good copycats!
happy fourth! i’ll be back tomorrow with the best weekend sales!
i know i’m not the only one who always has a bunch of tabs of ‘shopping carts’ from favorite sites, just sitting there waiting to bite the bullet. i thought it’d be fun to talk about some of the good things i’m desperately wanting.
eames style chair– such versatile chairs (and they come in a million colors!) think; a closet catchall chair, dining room chairs, desk chair, etc)
gold flatware– yes.
crosby collection swing arm sconce– i love these a lot. i can’t believe the price although i’m eager to see the quality. now to find a place for them….
lexmold molded plastic rocker– theres this really cool old house down the street from us that i’m in love with (i’m dying to go inside because i have a feeling they have it decorated amazing!) and on their front porch they have two hermès orange planters with lettuce planted in them and then off to the side, one of these rockers. i love it! the juxtaposition of the mod and a national register historic house, is just too much for me to handle!
minnen bed frame– how sweet is this toddler bed??
(off topic but) air/hotel reservations are also sitting in my virtual cart. we’re planning a trip to california (santa barbara/ monterey/ big sur/ san francisco/ napa) in a few months and would love some recommendations!
happy (almost) mother’s day! my ideal day would be to sleep in, breakfast in bed and then, if the weather is nice, go to some vineyards. do y’all have any fun traditions?
a few ideas for all the moms in your life! spoil them- they deserve it!
a lantern and a speaker in one!
i love pretty much everything by marysia but this one might be my favorite.
flower delivery and/or subscription from the bouqs.
blue apron meal/s- we use them about once a month and it is the best. we’ve loved all the meals and it’s so easy and convenient, even for someone like me who doesn’t love to cook.
i’m a huge fan of cuyana. loving this laptop sleeve!
loving this terrafirma tray from open door shop (a charleston favorite).
these books look really good.
how cute is this? the notebook inspired vintage travel poster. i just purchased this from (couldn’t resist) windowshopgal‘s etsy store. there are more from other movies/shows too-love! (realllly into this breaking bad one too.)
some pretties to jumpstart the weekend!

another new series (!)- what you should be buying at _____. i’ll be spotlighting stores that i love and the amazing stuff they have.
first up- furbish studio. jamie meares, of the oh-so popular blog, i suwanee, is such an inspiration and has an amazing eye. such a great mix of home accessories, gifts, even bags and jewelry. i have yet to visit the raleigh brick and mortar but this is a site i check weekly to see what new goodies they have and trust me, they have so much good stuff.
check out some of my favorites.
this cult classic is back in stock and is so versatile- living room/ playroom storage, a bright pop of color in the bathroom or even a planter.
i’m such a sucker for an otomi textile. another versatile purchase- table runner, a cool wall hanging (how cute would it look in a little girl’s room??), even at the end of the bed.
love this simple pillow.
such a pretty southern staple.
about to scoop this up for the front porch (ps-i finally painted the headboard ceiling haint blue and let me tell ya, it looks GOOD 🙂 also, i wanted to be as historically correct as i could so i referred to the “historic colors of charleston” color chart by sherwin williams and picked piazza blue.)
i’m such a fan of local artists and this one just so happens to be from my ol’ stompin’ grounds. love this one from dorothy shain.
SO good, right?
